Lindsay has ridden most of her life coming from a non-horsey family she began her career with once a week riding lessons at 8 years old.

Right away she was hooked! She would ride anything and everything she rode and competed many different styles and horses from saddlebreds to quarter horses to gaited horses.

But at 12 her trainer got a thoroughbred and she started taking jumping lessons and has never looked back. After competing on the “A” and “AA” circuit through high school Lindsay attended the University of Findlay where she rode on their IHSA Equestrian Team.

In 2008 she was individually ranked 5th in the country and helped her team become Reserve National Champions.

Lindsay worked for top trainer Bobby Dreyer in 2008 riding several of his young horses in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana.

In 2009 she was individually placed 3rd in the country which helped the team to become Reserve National Champions for the 2nd year in a row.

Lindsay graduated in 2009 from The University of Findlay in 2009 with a Bachelors in Equine Science and a Minor in Equine Business Management.

She then spent 3 months training under Helena Stormanns (German Nations Cup Rider and the first woman on the German Olympic team 1998) in Aachen, Germany.

Upon returning Lindsay turned professional in October 2009 and has worked with many top professionals in the Midwest.

Lindsay is especially talented with young horses and has brought along many young warmbloods to compete on the “AA” show circuit up through the Grand Prix.

She is also gifted with a knack for bringing along young Thoroughbreds that are no longer fast enough or physically capable of racing and introducing them into new careers.

So whether its a recent Selle Francais import or a 4 year old Thoroughbred that is fresh off the track; every horse gets her complete attention and is trained with an emphasis on the basics of self carriage and forward movement.

In 2015 Lindsay founded BakerHill Sporthorses where she is able to use her talents to bring along the next generation of horses and riders in the sport.

Lindsay teaches students of all levels and takes her students to both NIHJA and “AA” level horse shows.

BakerHill was created to be a premier hunter/jumper training facility on the south side of Chicago. We are conveniently located 45 minutes south of Chicago in Manhattan just outside Frankfort.
